§ 5-6. Cats to wear bells when outside of residence.

Latest version.

It shall be unlawful to permit any cat to be outside of any residence in the Village unless such cat wears a bell, the sound of which may be heard from at least 50 feet. It shall be the duty of all police officers or any citizen of the Village to report to the Chief of Police any cat found without such bell anywhere within the Village except in a residence or otherwise securely confined. It shall be the duty of all police officers to issue a Village citation to the Owner of such unbelled cat.
