§ 5-4. Cruelty to animals.

It shall be unlawful to overload, overdrive, torture, torment or deprive of necessary sustenance or shelter, or unnecessarily or cruelly beat or mutilate any animal, or cause such acts to be done, or carry any animal in or upon any vehicle or otherwise in a cruel or inhumane manner.
