§ 18-112. Assessment procedure generally.

Whenever the Village Council shall undertake to provide for the construction, reconstruction, repair, repaving and surfacing of Streets, boulevards and alleys; for the grading, regarding, leveling, laying, relaying, paving, repaving and surfacing of Sidewalks; for the doing of any work necessary to prevent the erosion of beaches within the Village limits; for the provision or maintenance of landscaping improvements, for the construction, repair, maintenance, operation or replacement of street lighting improvements; and for the making of any public improvements or the provision of any other lawful public service which provides a special benefit to Property of any nature or character whatsoever, whether the improvement or service is similar or dissimilar to those enumerated in this section, the procedure prescribed in this division shall be substantially followed in the making of special assessments to pay for such improvements or services in cases where such assessments are to be levied therefore.
