§ 40. Annual tax levy.

Upon final adoption of the budget, an ad valorem tax levy ordinance shall be passed which shall constitute a determination of the amount of the levy for the purposes of the village, in the corresponding tax year, and in so doing the general law of the State of Florida upon the subject of taxation as it now or hereafter exists shall apply to and govern the assessment, levy and collection of taxes.
