§ 2-51. Standards of conduct.

  • (a)

    Boardmembers shall comply with all applicable provisions of the Florida Statutes, Miami-Dade County Code of Ordinances and the Village Code, including, but not limited to, those pertaining to the ethical conduct of public officials, public records, open meetings and financial disclosure.

    (b)

    A member of the Architectural Review Board (ARB) may submit plans for review by or present plans to the ARB on behalf of a client, so long as such submittal or presentation is consistent with the requirements of the Miami Dade County Conflict of Interest and Code of Ethics Ordinance, and the following requirements are met:

    (1)

    The ARB Boardmember may not represent himself/herself or a Related Client on a Property located within the Residential Section of the Village, unless such Property is, or will become upon completion of construction, his or her legal residence or the legal residence of a Related Client for at least one year.

    (2)

    This restriction on self-representation or representation of a Related Client applies during the Boardmember's service on the ARB and for an additional one year following the end of the Boardmember's service.
