§ 2-49. Boardmember removal; filling of vacancies.

Unless otherwise specified in the enabling ordinance, the removal of Boardmembers and filling of Board vacancies shall be accomplished as follows:

(1)

Boardmember removal. A Boardmember shall automatically forfeit their seat on a Board if that Boardmember:

(a)

Is removed from office for misconduct in accordance with F.S. § 112.501, or

(b)

Fails to appear, in person or electronically, at three regular meetings of the Board during any calendar year.

(2)

Filling of vacancies. In the event of the resignation or removal of any Boardmember, the unexpired portion of the Boardmember's term shall be filled in the same manner as the Boardmember's initial appointment.
