§ 18-144. Service charge for information on Village liens.

(a)

There shall be a service charge for preparing a written confirmation by the Village of the amount and status of any existing or pending Village charges or liens, as follows:

(1)

If requested to be ready within one working day of receipt ..... $100.00

(2)

If requested to be ready within two to four or greater number of working days of receipt ..... $50.00

The Village shall make a good faith effort to honor the request time, but shall not be liable or responsible for any failure to meet the requested time.

(b)

The Village Council may by resolution annually adjust the service charge provided in paragraph (a) above by application of a cost of living adjustment which is based upon the change to the consumer price index, as confirmed by the Finance Director.

(c)

The Village Manager may prepare forms and protocol for implementation of the services provided, pursuant to paragraph (a) above.
