§ 12-6. Operation of aircraft.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful to operate, fly or cause any kind of aircraft to be operated over any part of the Village at a height of less than 1,000 feet above the surface of the land or water over which such aircraft is to be operated or flown, without prior approval of the Village Manager. Requests must be submitted in Writing to the Village Manager no less than ten days prior to the date of the requested operation. It shall be the applicant's responsibility to obtain the necessary approval from all other governmental agencies. Nothing in this section shall regulate the altitude at which any kind of aircraft may fly when such aircraft is used or employed by any governmental authority for the purpose of spraying insecticides.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful to land or alight any kind of aircraft on any part of any public highway, whether a walk or a Street, or upon any body of water lying wholly or in part within the Village limits within 1,500 feet of any Person in such water or in any kind of watercraft in such water.
