§ 12-4. Entering private property for purpose of peddling or soliciting.

  • It shall be unlawful to engage in the business of peddling at retail or to engage in the practice of going in and upon private residences, business establishments or offices in the Village in the capacity of a solicitor, peddler, hawker, itinerant merchant or transient vendor of merchandise, for the purpose of soliciting orders for sale of goods, wares and merchandise or for the purpose of disposing of or peddling or hawking goods, wares and merchandise, without having been requested or invited to do so by the Owner or Occupant of the private residence, business establishment or office.
